GRADES K5-12

2021 Broadway School Edits-17.jpg

CURRICULUM

Broadway Christian School uses a variety of curriculums. Primarily we use the ABEKA Curriculum. We also use individualized work books from The School of Tomorrow (Paces) and Bob Jones for electives. This allows us to offer quality education while combining grades but maintaining low teacher/pupil ratio.

AFFILIATIONS

Broadway Christian School is an active member of the American Association of Church Schools. The AACS is an association of state associations—forty state, regional, and international associations working together to provide legislative oversight, to promote high quality Christian education programs, to encourage the goal of producing Christlike young people, and to provide related institutional and personnel services to our constituents. AACS – the American Association of Christian Schools – is one of the leading organizations of Christian schools in the country. Founded in 1972 and now in operation for over forty years, the AACS serves over 100,000 students and teachers in member schools throughout the United States. The general purpose and objectives of AACS are to aid in promoting, establishing, advancing, and developing Christian schools and Christian education in America. Quality Christian education is a primary goal of AACS member schools. Outstanding educational programs are offered by AACS to help member schools enrich their academic programs. These include school accreditation, teacher certification, achievement testing, and others. The AACS is dedicated to quality, innovation, and excellence in education. AACS schools are “educating for eternity.”

Broadway Christian School is also a member of the Old Dominion Association of Church Schools. The Old Dominion Association of Church Schools was founded in 1976 to establish a unified voice on behalf of local church schools in the state of Virginia.  Since its founding, ODACS has provided a variety of important services and activities for independent Baptist churches that operate Christian schools.  ODACS is the Virginia affiliate of the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). One of the many services provided by ODACS is the fine arts competition held in March of each year. The students in grades three through twelve compete in categories such as academics, Bible, speech, music, and art. Our students consistently do well in competition even among the larger schools in Virginia.
